First release on Colourful for the up’n coming Berlin producer sees two beautifully crafted tracks, each with it’s own intricate personality.”Inside the dark” is a beat driven affair with a dirty piano lead, huge drops and a touch of native american spirit to add twist. “But tonight” shares the energy but the groove is more laden for the after hours game (that we all love so much…). Great disco tom action and a beautifully crafted vox hook is the spinal cord to this one. On remix duties Re.You takes “Inside the dark” into technoid territory with a sluggish lead, deep dark bass figures and dancing hi-hat patterns. Huge one! On the flip Moodymanc steps up and treat “But Tonight” to a total percussive workout. An irresistible latin infused groover full of sunshine – just in time for Miami!

After the great success of their first album “Elephancycle” it is time for a new collaboration between Bara Bröst and the vocalist Conan Kowalski. It´s time to announce proudly the release of the wonderful “Bara Bröst – Loaded Dice EP” on BBE Records.

The track “No Sports” has already been an integral part of the Bara Bröst live show. Developing over time into a raw percussive House version with an ‘explosive ’ drop – giving it a surprisingly flamboyant turn.

The “No Sports” Remix by David Keno & Jaxson, from Berlin delivers a straight House mix with a tremendous organ bass-line and string players that make it far more melodious than the original version.

“Millions” is a thriving Minimal House track yet retains a feeling of melancholic tranquility. The groove is padded by rather frisky piano and organ sounds. For this track Bara Bröst collaborated with the singer DJane Domonique (from Los Angeles) for the first time. Her impressive voice intensifies the enigmatic and gloomy atmosphere of the track.

Demir & Seymen deliver a swinging mix with piano and even horns – this will be a sensation on the dance floor.

The third track on the EP, “Dark Blue”, hits us with impulsive basslines; dub effects and a deep, dramatic melody.

Eine Veranstaltungsreihe, die gleich beim ersten Mal voll eingeschlagen ist. Stellvertetend für “eine ganze Generation junger Berliner”, die mit Hip Hop aufgewachsen sind und nun in der House-Music heimisch geworden sind, besinnen sich die Veranstalter auf vergangene Zeiten. Dass die musikalische Sozialisierung nicht selten auch in den aktuellen Releases zu hören ist, beweisen z.B die Hamburger ADANA TWINS. In ihrem heimlichen Sommerhit “Juicy Fruit” samplen sie Notorious BIG’s “Juicy”.

Ein Abend, der zeigt, dass heute keiner wär, wär es nicht gewesen wie es war…

Eine Veranstaltungsreihe, auf die nicht wenige gewartet haben dürften. Mit Curriculum Vitae geht endlich wieder ein Eventformat an den Start, das auf Konzept statt wahlloses Namedropping setzt. Stellvertetend für “eine ganze Generation junger Berliner” besinnen sich die Veranstalter auf vergangene Zeiten. Und das sogar doppelt konsequent. “From the past to today” – dieses Credo vereint Nostalgie und Zeitgeist.

Wer sich selbst nicht erinnert: viele Protagonisten der Berliner House-Szene haben ihre musikalischen Wurzeln im Hip Hop. Und getreu dem Motto der Veranstaltung läuten Phonique, Daniel Dexter & Nhan Solo, Nico Stojan, Murian Benz und Thabo Getsome die erste Ausgabe von Curriculum Vitae mit eben diesem, in Berlin heute gänzlich unterrepräsentierten Genre, ein und geben ihren musikalischen Lebenslauf an diesem Abend im Schnelldurchlauf zum Besten.

Another awsome release for Abstract Theory with one of the best artist of the last year, Subb-an, who remixed the Area Remotes and Bouqs artist Julie Marghilano. Julie is a classically trained musician that has been playing the violin since the early age of 10. Her improvisational musical capacities were definitely inherited by her father, who has a long career as a jazz guitarist and arranger for artists such as FRANK SINATRA, SAMMY DAVIS JR., and LENA HORN. In the last 14 years of her career, julie has created a unique sound by transforming and fusing a classical instrument like the violin into a electronic weapon with groovy, hypnotizing house, deep and techno beats. julies productions such as LAST TANGO and ARAZMATAZ have been supported by djs such as, VILLALOBOS, LOCO DICE, LUCIANO, and TOBI NEUMANN. Her remix for BUTCH, “MASS APPEAL” came out in February 2010 on 2000 and ones label AREA REMOTE.
